Chesterfield Care Group's Groups

Chesterfield Care Group has various social groups that are designed to help elderly people to socialise, exercise and receive tailored support orientated to their needs. We have dedicated staff on-hand to help ensure that everyone who comes to the centre’s are treated with dignity and respect. We provide integrated dementia groups as well as dementia specialist groups. We also provide a Walking and Activities Group and Carers Group. We have venues in Chesterfield from Hasland and groups in Dronfield and Brimington.

Brimington Outreach Centre

The groups support older people to live independently in Brimington and the surrounding area to socialise.

This group is also serving Calow, Hollingwood, Tapton, Inkersall and Staveley. Please ask if you require advice about the areas covered.


The main aims of the group:

  • To provide day care by trained, professional staff who will treat the service users with dignity and respect.
  • To provide support tailored to individual needs.
  • To provide a hot meal at lunchtime and beverages and snacks throughout the day. Special dietary needs can be catered for.
  • To provide age appropriate activities to meet the personal needs of the individual.
  • Exercises are delivered by trained staff to maintain mobility.
  • If required service users will receive assistance and support with personal care.

Dronfield Group Outreach Centre

The groups support older people to live independently in Dronfield and the surrounding area to socialise.

We have two groups running from The Peel Centre and another group from St Philips Church at Falcon Road.

This group serves Dronfield as well as serving Coal Aston and Dronfield Woodhouse Please ask if you require advice about the areas covered.

The main aims of the group:

  • The group specialises in supporting service users who have a dementia in a small relaxed environment. The service is provided by staff who are trained in personal-centred dementia care.
  • To provide support tailored to individual needs.
  • To provide a hot meal at lunchtime and beverages and snacks throughout the day. Special dietary needs can be catered for.
  • To provide age appropriate activities to meet the personal needs of the individual.
  • Exercises are delivered by trained staff to maintain mobility.
  • If required service users will receive assistance and support with personal care.

Walking and Activities Group, Chesterfield Town Centre

Our walking and activity group is for people over 50 years old who have a diagnosis of a dementia and enjoy being outdoors, visiting places of interest and taking part in new stimulating age activities.

Social Groups/ Drop-in Session

Our drop-in sessions are for those who would like to be able to go out and take part in age appropriate activities, but cannot manage a full days’ day care.

Our social groups are also ran along side of our day care, but they are for people who want to get out and do a specific activity, such as baking, crafting, singing, & gentle exercises. Currently, these groups are provided upon request.

This group gives an opportunity for carers to share their caring experiences and have general chat with other relatable carers. The group will be fun and light-hearted for anyone requiring support.

Hasland - Main Centre

Our main centre provided adult social groups for a mix of abilities, including those with dementia.
